The Centre for Development and Social Justice (cedasj) was founded by Rev. Fr. Simeon Iber PhD. and officially registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on the twentieth day of October, 2005 in Nigeria with Registration Certificate No. 637537
The Center was registered among other things to;
1. Provide support to the young and vulnerable groups by promoting development and social justice through “direct intervention” and “policy initiatives”,
2. Encourage self-reliance of the youth through dual skill acquisition programs in Human rights, Democracy, Governance, Environmental, Economic and Social rights,
3. Assist by improving the standard of living of families rendered homeless post communal clashes within villages,
4. Educate communities on issues of development, justice and peace affecting their personal and social lives based on Gospel values,
5.Help communities in advocacy for corporate responsibility, public policy changes and legislative action, etc.

To see vulnerable Nigerian Children, Women and Youths educated, healthy, and self-reliant
MISSION
To promote skills acquisition and civic education programs, while intervening to facilitate the provision of basic infrastructure for deprived Nigerian Children, Women and Youths

Access to WASH includes safe water, adequate sanitation and hygiene education. This can reduce illness, death, poverty & improve socio-economic development.
